Job SummaryPerform maintenance on all mechanical and electrical components of manufacturing and processing equipment, including auxiliary equipment, buildings, grounds, and facilities. Operate cutting, welding, and forklift equipment. Read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings. Maintain safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Responsibilities- Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry equipment.
- Operate cutting and welding equipment and fabricate replacement parts.
- Unload, move, and install equipment; operate forklifts and company vehicles.
- Record maintenance work performed on equipment.
- Read, comprehend, and apply processes, criteria, and required procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Communicate business‑related issues or opportunities to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Move material as requested and ensure quality of work.
- Clean and perform basic maintenance of equipment, in accordance with 6S activities.
- Follow all safety, regulatory, and environmental rules and company policies.
- Ensure personal and company compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations.
- For supervisors, ensure subordinates follow all health, safety, and environmental guidelines and that resources are available.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Four‑year accredited apprenticeship or eight or more years of diversified industrial maintenance experience.
- Broad knowledge of mechanical equipment, electricity, plumbing, carpentry, construction, and PLCs.
- Ability to read, understand, and apply electrical codes and safety practices.
- Must obtain and maintain forklift operator accreditation.
