About the companyMy client is an innovative American automotive manufacturer focused on redefining affordable electric mobility. They are developing a new generation of purpose-built electric vehicles with an emphasis on simplicity, modular design, and customer customisation.
Our client is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join their expanding team on a Contract basis. The role will be based in Warsaw, Indiana.
Position Summary:- The Maintenance Technician is a key member of the maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the operational integrity of our Clients’ automotive manufacturing facility.
- This role requires hands-on expertise in facilities maintenance, construction, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC.
- The ideal candidate is a skilled tradesperson with a strong work ethic, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications in electrical, HVAC, or plumbing preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related trade within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Experience with construction, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems is essential.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, and basic computer skills.
Facilities Maintenance
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on building systems and equipment.
- Inspect and repair facility infrastructure including walls, floors, and ceilings.
- Respond to maintenance requests and resolve issues promptly.
- Assist with in-house construction projects including framing, drywall, and finish work.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized construction tasks.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, lighting, and control systems.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
- Maintain and repair plumbing systems including water supply and drainage.
- Service HVAC systems to ensure proper heating, cooling, and ventilation.
- Follow all safety protocols and participate in safety training.
- Document maintenance activities and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
