Safe-Way Garage Door is looking for a dependable, hardworking Receiving Associate to join our team!
If you enjoy staying active, operating equipment, keeping things organized, and being part of a fast-moving manufacturing environment, this could be a great opportunity for you. Our Receiving Associates play an important role in making sure incoming materials are received accurately and products get where they need to go.
This is a full-time, hands-on position where attention to detail, safety, and teamwork matter every day.
What You'll DoAs a Receiving Associate, you'll help keep materials and products moving throughout our facility. Your responsibilities will include:
- Unload materials and products from incoming vendor trucks
- Organize and move products to designated storage and production areas
- Operate forklifts, carts, pallets, and other material-handling equipment
- Transport raw materials to production workstations
- Inspect incoming materials for damage, shortages, or quality concerns
- Pick and stage orders according to shipping manifests and routes
- Assist with inventory cycle counts
- Distribute incoming parts and materials throughout the facility
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Empty facility hoppers as needed
- Move tractor trailers as required
- Support other receiving, warehouse, and production needs as assigned
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is reliable, safety-minded, and ready to work.
Required:
- Previous forklift operating experience
- Ability to safely use industrial and material-handling equipment
- Ability to move tractor trailers
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work safely around moving equipment
Preferred:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid forklift certification
Our Receiving Associates stay active throughout the day. You should be comfortable:
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Squatting, kneeling, reaching, and using your hands throughout the shift
- Occasionally lifting and moving up to 60 pounds
- Working around moving mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment
