We’re partnering with a rapidly growing, multi-entity construction organization that is looking to add a highly skilled Accounting Manager to take ownership of complex accounting operations and help scale the finance function as the company continues its expansion. This is a high-impact, highly visible leadership role for someone who is confident in their technical accounting abilities and fully immersed in the world of construction finance.

- Compensation range: $100,000–$120,000, depending on experience

- Lead the month‑end and year‑end close process with accurate, GAAP‑compliant financial reporting
- Oversee general ledger activity, including accruals and detailed job cost accounting across multiple projects
- Manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidated financial reporting across a multi‑entity structure
- Direct all construction accounting operations, including project setup, budgeting, cost tracking, and percentage‑of‑completion revenue recognition
- Review and approve key construction documentation such as draws, lien waivers, and retainage schedules
- Oversee accounts payable processes, vendor relationships, and cash flow planning in a project‑based environment
- Support treasury operations, including banking relationships and intercompany funding needs
- Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to support continued growth
- Ensure compliance with tax requirements and support external audit processes
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff to support performance and professional growth
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or advanced degree preferred
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility
- Strong, hands‑on construction accounting experience is required (job costing, WIP, retainage, progress billing, percentage‑of‑completion revenue recognition)
- Proven experience in multi-entity environments with consolidated financial reporting
Strong background in managing intercompany transactions and eliminations - Experience with construction ERP systems (such as Spectrum, Quick Books, or similar platforms)
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and present to senior leadership
