We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Accountant to join our dynamic and innovative finance team. As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee a wide range of accounting and financial tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliation, budgeting, and forecasting, and you will have a comprehensive understanding of GAAP and Union Payroll.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all general ledger accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with all GAAP regulations and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of changes.
• Manage Union Payroll, including processing payments, maintaining records, and resolving payroll issues.
• Develop and maintain annual budgets, and conduct regular budget reviews to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Conduct financial forecasting to predict future revenue and expenditure trends and aid in financial planning.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for senior management.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies or irregularities in financial entries, documents, and reports.
• Collaborate with finance team members and other departments to improve financial processes and systems.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the finance industry.
• Proven experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, GAAP, Union Payroll, account reconciliation, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to make well‑judged decisions.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive approach to work, managing multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
