Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Warwick, RI. The Accountant will manage inventories, GOGS, day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements and reports, supporting month-end and year-end close, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities. The role involves maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies, and coordinating with internal teams and external partners such as vendors and auditors.

The Accountant will also help improve financial processes, support inventory and cost tracking, and provide timely financial insights to management.

Qualifications
  • Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books or similar), spreadsheet tools, and basic ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and standard bookkeeping practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently as well as collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, or inventory of thousands of different products industries is a plus.
  • Familiarity with inventory, job costing, and budgeting processes is highly beneficial.
