The Associate Construction Project Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Warwick, RI. This position supports project accounting activities, including setting up new projects in the accounting system, processing invoices, tracking expenses, and assisting with budget monitoring and cost variance analysis. The role involves preparing and reviewing billing, supporting month-end close activities, reconciling project accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records for multiple construction projects.

The Associate Construction Project Accountant will collaborate closely with project managers, field teams, and the finance department to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies. This team member will also assist in preparing financial summaries, responding to information requests, and contributing to process improvements within the project accounting function.

• Enter and maintain financial data in Foundations Construction Software.
• Process invoices, subcontractor pay applications, and cost allocaitons.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable relate to project activity
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across systems
• Communicate with subcontractors and vendors regarding invoicing, payment status and compliance when necessary.

• Work within Procore to support project financial workflows
• Assist with document management related to contracts, change orders and billing.
• Support accounting team with audits, reporting, and internal controls as needed.

• 2+ years of experience in constructions accounting or project accounting.
• Experience with construction accounting software (Foundations, Sage/Timberline, or similar).
• Familiarity with Procore or other construction project management platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadline.

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience working for a construction management or general contracting firm
• Understanding of job cost accounting, WIP reporting, and cost-to-complete
