Job Description & How to Apply Below
- • Perform routine repairs and diagnosis on customer vehicles, with some assistance
- • Perform light engine work, transmission, clutch, drive shaft, electrical, HVAC, steering and suspension repairs
- • Complete multi-point inspections on each vehicle
- • Document all work performed and recommended on assigned repair orders
- • Communicate with service advisors when additional work is needed or repairs may miss the promised time
- • Maintain technician proficiency according to Asbury standards
- • Conduct road tests when necessary and practical
- • Perform all levels of vehicle diagnosis, repair and preventive/routine maintenance
- • Complete manufacturer and management-assigned product and technical training
- • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and schools
- • Maintain manufacturer Customer Satisfaction Index at or above Asbury goals
- • Complete warranty repair order documentation, timekeeping and warranty claims
- • Report safety, welfare or dealership-integrity concerns to management
- • Return customer vehicles as clean as received
- • Complete required compliance training, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know
- • Comply with federal, state and local laws and company policies safeguarding customer vehicles, property and information
- ASE certifications heavily preferred
- Manufacturer certifications heavily preferred
- Previous automotive technician experience required
- Must have basic tools
- Must have great technical and mechanical skills
- Must be a team player and have the ability to work repetitively on complex tasks
- Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background & drug test)
Demonstrates expertise in automotive repair and maintenance, including light engine work, transmission, and electrical systems. Proficient in performing multi-point inspections and maintaining compliance with safety and manufacturer standards.
