JOB SUMMARY:

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness (IE) at CCRI is a strategic partner in creating an environment that promotes and supports the use of data and analytics and action research to guide decision-making and institutional improvement.

The Associate Director is responsible for coordinating and executing credit and non-credit reporting requirements, managing operational research and reporting activities, and producing analyses that support institutional planning and decision‑making. The Associate Director implements established research methodologies, reporting procedures, and data governance standards under the direction of the Chief Data & Research Officer and Director of Institutional Research & Analytics. The Associate Director takes a lead operational role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the college’s official data.

This position is responsible for the operational execution, coordination, compliance, production, validation, and maintenance of institutional reporting and research activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Manage the college’s official data files by ensuring that they are complete, accurate, and timely.

  • Implement and monitor established data governance procedures, institutional definitions, and reporting standards approved by the Director and Chief Data & Research Officer.

  • Collaborate with the Chief Data & Research Officer, Director, IE team, and other offices to execute approved policies and procedures that ensure the integrity of the college’s data.

  • Assist with the implementation and operational support of approved technologies, reporting systems, and process improvements to enhance institutional reporting efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Coordinate and manage the operational execution of IPEDS and other federal and state reporting requirements, including data collection, validation, documentation, preparation, and submission.

  • Respond to requests for information from publishers and external surveys in accordance with approved institutional definitions and reporting standards.

  • Coordinate, review, and produce analyses and reports in response to ongoing and ad hoc requests for credit and non-credit institutional information, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established standards.

  • Coordinate research projects and data collection activities, including surveys and institutional information‑gathering efforts, using methodologies and priorities approved by the Director or Chief Data & Research Officer.

  • Maintain reporting calendars, source documentation, data dictionaries, validation records, and other materials necessary for consistent and auditable reporting operations.

  • Refer requests involving institutional strategy, policy interpretation, forecasting, research prioritization, methodology approval, or executive recommendations to the Director or Chief Data & Research Officer.

Communicating and Presenting Data:
  • Prepare and deliver operational reports, dashboards, and presentations that accurately summarize research findings and institutional data for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Gather, compile, validate, and analyze research data and present data in tabular, pictorial, and graphic form using established methods and definitions.

  • Support executive and institutional presentations by providing accurate and timely data analyses

  • Produce and update the college Fact Book, Quick Facts, and other standard reports, subject to Director‑level review and approval before official publication.

  • Maintain the office website and published data products in accordance with approved content and publication schedules.

Operational Coordination and Departmental Support:
  • Serve as the primary coordinator for recurring reporting operations, compliance activities, institutional data file management, and routine data quality processes.
