Key

Qualifications:

  • Valid state certification in Elementary Special Education (required)
  • Experience or training in environments with high behavioral needs strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP processes, goal-setting, and implementing individualized interventions
  • Ability to foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere for students with diverse learning and behavioral profiles
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging, evidence-based instruction tailored to individual student needs within an elementary therapeutic setting
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with regulations and best practices
  • Utilize proactive behavior management strategies and crisis intervention techniques as needed
  • Work alongside team members including counselors, service providers, and families to ensure holistic support for every student
  • Document student progress and communicate regularly with families and staff
  • Create a safe, structured classroom where all students can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically
