Radiology Aide

Responsible for performing a variety of support services for Diagnostic department.

• Assist modality staff in preparing room for patient exams, to include stocking and cleaning of area.
• Contacts appropriate medical facilities, nursing units and other healthcare providers to obtain pertinent patient information/prior exam reports required for testing of patients
• Distributes reports to physician offices and other healthcare providers as requested.
• 4. Transports patients to maintain workflow and patient throughput when necessary.
• 5. Assists patients to dressing areas if necessary.
• 6. Assists with moving patients from stretcher to scanners/patient movement.
• 7. Coordinates paperwork/reports on patients throughout the department and to Radiologists.
• 8. Delivers oral contrast to other areas of the hospital for patient prep prior to testing.
• 9.Performs all other related duties as assigned.

A High School diploma required. Experience working with patients in a healthcare setting preferred.
