Total Hours/week: 40.00

Shift: 1st shift

In this role, the individual will be responsible for the development, communication, implementation, training, and evaluation of Environmental Health and Safety Programs at the Warwick, RI facility.

• Review materials used by manufacturing operations and maintain Safety Data Sheet database
• Conduct weekly safety inspections such as Hazardous Waste areas
• Evaluate and implement Personal Protective Equipment
• Perform Job Safety Analysis and Risk Assessments
• Develop a thorough knowledge of equipment and materials used in the facility, including pollution control devices
• Aid in the timely preparation of required reports to regulatory agencies as requested
• Develop and implement procedures/SOPs to reduce safety/environmental risks and to address emergency situations
• Develop and provide EHS related training programs on various EHS topics including Lab Safety, Respirator Program, PPE, Hearing Conservation, First Aid/CPR, LOTO, Chemical Hygiene, and Hazardous Communication
• Maintain Sustainability Report and records
• Collaborate with management to further the objectives of health and safety programs
• Facilitate and manage employee-based Safety Committee
• Coordinate annual EHS training matrix
• Coordinate and develop training & drills for Emergency Evacuation requirements
• Serve an active role in the incident investigation process and root cause analysis
• Other tasks as deemed necessary

• Minimum of 2 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or laboratory setting
• Familiar with EHS programs and regulatory requirements
• Associate Degree
• OSHA 10 hour course completion or within 60 days of employment
• Knowledge of OSHA standards, including injury record keeping
• Computer literate on PC and related software
