Position: Inpatient Surgical Physician Assistant (PA) - Kent Hospital

Job Summary

Care New England is seeking an inpatient surgical Physician Assistant to join our growing team of surgeons and physician assistants at Kent Hospital in Warwick, Rhode Island.

Schedule:

  • Three 12-hour shifts per week (6a – 6p, 6p – 6a) with possibility of one 12-hour or one 24-hour shift.
  • Rotational weekend and holiday shifts.
  • Enjoy working in general, bariatric, colorectal, vascular and thoracic surgery.
  • Job responsibilities include OR 1st assist and inpatient management, admissions, discharges, consults & daily rounding.
  • Bedside procedures include NG tube placement, wound vac changes and I&D of abscesses.
  • The primary work location will be Kent Hospital, with occasional assignments at Women & Infants Hospital based on scheduling needs.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Certified by NCCPA.
  • Active Rhode Island PA, CSR, and DEA license or eligible.
  • OR 1st assist experience a plus.
