Lead Environmental Services Aide

Job Summary

Serves as a work leader for assigned Hospitality Associate, Transport Aide, Cleaning Aide I, and Cleaning Aide II employees in order to ensure that work assignments are carried out appropriately and in a timely manner.

• Serves as a work leader for assigned Hospitality Associate, Transport Aide, Cleaning Aide I, and Cleaning Aide II employees in order to ensure that work assignments are carried out.
• Distributes and balances the workload for assigned staff.
• Trains employees as directed and answers employee questions concerning departmental policies, procedures, and directives.
• Resolves simple informal complaints.
• Delegates, reviews, amends and checks work in progress to ensure methods and deadlines have been met.
• Reports problems to the supervisor.
• Establishes and sustains sound relationships with assigned employees in order to foster an environment where innovative methods are used.
• Involves others in creative solutions to issues.
• Cleans patient rooms/other areas, empties laundry, transports patients, and delivers specimens/items as requested.
• Prioritizes, schedules and assigns work to others, ensuring work is completed according to policies and procedures.
• Uses proper judgment and knowledge of established practices and procedures when addressing problems or issues.
• Prepares necessary reports and provides regular feedback to keep management fully informed on a daily basis.
• Monitors and ensures adherence to infection control, waste management, and safety procedures.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.

High School diploma/GED or equivalent and 3 years of related work experience are required. Strong leadership and written/verbal communication skills are required. Good interpersonal and team building skills are also required.
