• Review, prepare, and serve meals in accordance with planned menus, standardized recipes, and special diet orders
• Prepare and serve residents' nutritional bedtime snacks and substitute foods for residents who refuse foods served
• Ensure food is prepared in accordance with sanitary regulations and maintain a clean and safe department
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures, ensuring utensils and equipment are readily available for the next meal
• Prepare and deliver snacks, serving food and drinks in the dining room as instructed
• Maintain the appearance of work areas and perform regular inspections for sanitation, order, and safety

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and perform regular inspections of food service areas
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, with the ability to handle residents based on their maturity level
• Must be willing to incorporate new methods and principles into existing food practices
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
• Must possess sight and hearing senses, or use prosthetics that enable these senses to function adequately
• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet
