Radiologic Technologist, Sign on Bonus Eligible

Responsible for planning and performing diagnostic patient examinations using technical skills and radiation-emitting equipment to produce diagnostic radiographs.

Responsibilities
  • Review requisitions to determine proper room set up and amounts of radiation; study views required for examination relative to patient anatomy and perform examinations.
  • Prepare and administer contrast agents (e.g., Barium) as required.
  • Provide nursing care to patient during and after examinations, including evaluating patient and calling codes if patient becomes in dire distress.
  • Provide radiation protection for self, patient and staff by using various protective devices and selecting radiation factors that result in a quality study with minimal radiation exposure to the patient.
  • Evaluate diagnostic films to ensure quality studies, repeating unsuitable films as necessary.
  • Perform other various functions including assisting radiologist during procedures.
  • Train employees and students in day-to-day procedures.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications and Specifications

An Associate degree in Radiologic Technology and minimum six months job-related experience or equivalent is required. CPR Certification Required. ARRT is also required.
