Responsible for assisting in surgical procedures by handling instrumentation and anticipating the needs of the surgeon while maintaining aseptic techniques to AORN standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Maintain skills and competencies required of the Surgical Technologist position.
* Maintains Surgical Technologist Certification
* Demonstrates working knowledge of service lines including use of specialized equipment.
* Primary Preceptor for the scrub role.
* Complies with customer service requirements.
* Actively participates in QI programs.
* Respond to emergency situations under the direction of a RN.
* Performs all other job related duties as assigned.
* Maintains and gathers supplies to perform job
* Maintains BLS
Requirements
Graduation of an accredited Surgical Technologist program. Surgical Technologist Certification is required. BLS Certification Required.
