Medical Receptionist, Healthcare Administration
Adecco Staffing is partnering with a local health provider looking to hire a full-time receptionist for their growing primary care practice in Warwick, RI. The ideal candidate must have previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role in a healthcare facility, and be familiar with EMR software. A successful candidate will be detail-oriented, provide the highest level of customer service, have excellent communication skills, have basic word processing skills, and be willing to perform a variety of tasks on a day-to-day basis.
They will also possess the ability to work well in a team setting, the responsibility to execute without constant direct supervision, and the integrity to be trusted with patients’ medical information. Our core values include:

- Responsibilities include:
- Provide 5-star customer service to patients at all stages of their visit, from first phone call through follow-up
- Daily opening procedures
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, determine needs, and ensure efficient transfer of care to other staff members as appropriate
- Answer phone calls in a friendly manner, attentively listen to patients’ needs, and provide accurate information to patients or direct to the appropriate staff member to assist the patient
- Check out patients and schedule future appointments
- Maintain and update patient records, and accurately record updates and corrections as needed
- Verify insurance information and complete prior authorizations
- Assist with the preparation of care plans and documentation as needed
- Coordinate care including following up with patients on referrals, care needs, and outreach to appropriate resources
- Check staff messages for provider requests (i.e., scheduling follow-ups, med refills, etc.)
- Provide general administrative support including typing correspondence, filing documents, and managing office supplies
Pay Details: $21.00 per hour
