What You'll DoAs a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you'll provide hands-on support in one of our group homes. You'll help individuals with daily routines, personal care, social activities, and more, helping them live with dignity, independence, and joy.
A Typical Day Might Include:- Assisting with personal care (bathing, dressing, meals, as needed)
- Encouraging independence and community involvement
- Supporting health needs and appointments
- Helping with household tasks
- Building strong, trusting relationships
- Keeping clear, accurate documentation
- Create a safe, positive, encouraging atmosphere
- High school diploma or equivalent (experience in similar settings a plus!)
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and personal vehicle
- Strong communication, patience, and a team-player attitude
- Comfort with physical activity (lift up to 40 lbs., bending, walking, etc.)
- Willingness to learn Safety-Care and behavior support techniques
