Hourly base pay range: $15-$16 per hour plus tips.

Paid Time Off

Employees accrue 0.0654 hours of PTO per hour worked up to a maximum of 136 hours per calendar year. Employees receive 6 paid holidays throughout the calendar year and up to a maximum of 4 paid floating holidays per calendar year.

Summary

The Guest Experience Associate (Valet Attendant) is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. Responsibilities include parking and retrieving guest vehicles safely, assisting guests with luggage, delivering messages, and providing information about the facility and local area.

Essential Functions
  • Maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients. Greets guests within five feet using a professional and friendly demeanor. Uses guest last names during interactions.
  • Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests.
  • Assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed. Conducts thorough room presentations for guests.
  • Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries; provides information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and main attractions.
  • Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures, issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys, and collects claim checks before issuing keys.
  • Maintains accurate ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipt.
  • Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when required.

Qualifications Education
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within a commutable distance.
Work Experience
  • One (1) month of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
Skills
  • Ability to read and write standard English language.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
  • Basic arithmetic skills for handling money.
  • Understanding of 24‑hour and military time systems.
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission (highly desirable).
Other Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Scope & Authority

Job is fairly routine; decisions are made within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Errors in judgment could affect the smooth and efficient operation of the department.

Budget Responsibility

Employee has control over the resources available only.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

Regular tasks include talking, hearing, sitting or standing for extended periods, running, walking, handling objects, reaching with hands and arms, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Lifting Requirements
  • Exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
  • Work is largely outdoors for extended periods.
  • Employees may be exposed to extreme heat and cold weather.
Travel

Travel up to 5% may be required.
