The Human Resources Onboarding and Retention Specialist’s primary role is to manage the new hire onboarding process and paperwork, and help to create and foster a supportive, positive, and productive workplace environment to ensure all employees’ needs are being met from day one.

• Maintaining Human Resource Information System records and compiling reports from the database
• Coordination of the document control process for all company new hires
• Onboarding and new hire orientation
• Collaborating and communicating with employees to understand their concerns
• Counseling and providing guidance and support to the employees and helping to resolve their issues
• Helping to identify the root cause of issues and misunderstandings within various departments
• Reporting findings of issues and misunderstandings to Senior Leadership
• Organizing employee training sessions
• Aiding communication between management and employees and resolving issues
• Conduct exit interviews, summarize findings, and discuss trends and concerns with senior management
• Scheduling new employee onboarding interviews
• Responding to employee relations hotline
• Participates in quality assurance activities
• Maintains an attitude and philosophy consistent with NFS’ standards
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, communications, business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience
• Onboarding and orientation experience required
• Must have at least 1 or more years of UKG Ready experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; can communicate seamlessly
• Experience with compliance and reporting
• Collaborative and supportive mindset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel) with the aptitude to learn new software and systems
• Excellent time management skills, ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects
• Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work as a team player
• Ability to manage confidential information
• Ability to work remotely with a quiet, dedicated workspace
• Must Reside in NH, MA, or RI
