As our company continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced, energetic, and highly organized Human Resources & Talent Acquisition Manager to lead all aspects of human resources, employee relations, and talent acquisition.
Position SummaryThe Human Resources & Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for overseeing all human resources functions for both our Rhode Island and Massachusetts operations. This role serves as the company’s HR leader and primary recruiter, ensuring compliance with all applicable labor laws and employment regulations while maintaining appropriate staffing levels throughout the organization.
The successful candidate will be responsible for employee recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee coaching, performance management, disciplinary actions, terminations, company communications, employee recognition programs, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
This position is fully in-office and based at our Coventry, Rhode Island headquarters, supporting employees in both Rhode Island and Boston.
Key Responsibilities Human Resources Management- Ensure company compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
- Develop, maintain, and update HR policies, procedures, employee handbooks, and HR documentation.
- Manage employee relations and provide guidance to management and staff on HR matters.
- Maintain employee records and personnel files in accordance with legal requirements and company standards.
- Oversee workplace investigations, disciplinary actions, coaching, corrective action plans, and employee terminations.
- Provide HR guidance and support to department managers and leadership.
- Develop and execute recruiting strategies to maintain proper staffing levels across all departments.
- Source, screen, interview, and evaluate candidates for chauffeur, operations, customer service, dispatch, administrative, accounting and management positions.
- Manage job postings across multiple recruiting platforms.
- Conduct reference checks and background screening processes.
- Coordinate hiring decisions and employment offers.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future staffing needs.
- Manage all new hire onboarding processes.
- Complete employment paperwork and compliance documentation.
- Train new employees on company systems, software platforms, mobile applications, and workplace procedures.
- Coordinate orientation programs and employee introductions.
- Support employee development and ongoing training initiatives.
- Administer employee benefits programs including health and dental insurance offerings.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and questions.
- Manage bonus administration programs for chauffeurs and office staff.
- Maintain accurate payroll related HR records and compensation documentation.
- Lead company communications and employee engagement initiatives.
- Organize and coordinate company events, celebrations, and employee appreciation activities.
- Manage Employee of the Week, Employee of the Month, and Employee of the Year recognition programs.
- Promote a positive, team-oriented workplace culture focused on accountability, professionalism, and employee success.
- Maintain HR systems, databases, and employee management software.
- Ensure employees are properly trained and utilizing required company technology platforms and applications.
- Generate HR reports and staffing metrics for leadership.
- Support process improvements and operational efficiencies throughout the organization.
- Minimum 3-5 years of Human Resources management experience.
- Minimum 3 years of recruiting and talent acquisition experience.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Experience handling employee relations, performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Experience administering employee benefits programs.
