Job Description

Position: Computer Hardware Technician

Location: Warwick, RI

Duration: 12 months

Job Type: Temporary Assignment

Work Type: Onsite

Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00 pm – 11:00 pm)

Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of computer support experience; basic hardware and software skills.
  • Good work ethic and organizational skills.
  • Experience installing, diagnosing, maintaining and servicing computer‑related products, including desktop and laptop computers, printers, network devices, standard software and low‑end servers at customer sites or depot locations.
  • Journeyman level desk‑side support technician.
  • Ability to follow Help Desk or Service Desk scripts and apply personal knowledge to resolve product support issues.
  • Experience troubleshooting, reloading, re‑imaging PCs/laptops and installing/optimizing hardware or software networking products.
Job Responsibilities
  • Set up computer hardware and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Provide support for software, hardware and networking for desktops, laptops and servers.
  • Maintain and support legacy products; support core and server products.
  • Perform disk replacement on enterprise storage products.
  • Install and maintain PCs, software, networks, servers and peripherals.
  • Support network products from operational and maintenance perspectives.
  • Perform installs, moves, add and change tasks as required.
  • Test and certify PCs, networks, servers and client‑approved applications.
  • Follow up on problems or escalation.
  • Maintain professionalism in actions, demeanor and dress.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the service delivery transaction.
  • Meet client‑specific Service Level Agreements and update incident and request tickets in the ticketing system.
Additional Information

Communication will be via Teams and Outlook. Meetings are conducted remotely, but the role is onsite.

Training will be provided during the first week. The technician will use tools such as iPads, checkout systems and map‑based navigation tools at client sites.
