Paralegal | Court of Protection

Our highly regarded Court of Protection team is expanding and we are looking for a paralegal to join our established, dynamic team.

To assist the Court of Protection team to include but not limited to:

• Assisting fee earners dealing with health and welfare applications in the Court of Protection.

• Preparing court bundles.

• Submitting legal aid applications and dealing with costs reviews.

• Sending papers to counsel ahead of Court hearings.

• Reviewing confidential records and other disclosure.

• Liaising with clients, courts and third parties.

You will have excellent organisation and prioritisation skills and be able to work to tight court deadlines where necessary.

You will need to have a good attention to detail, be disciplined in your time management and will be expected to time record.

We are looking for not only a team player but also someone who is approachable and empathetic as often this area of work can sometimes be distressing for family members and client. A personable, calm and caring nature with excellent client care and communication skills are of the utmost importance to ensure we provide the best client service we can.

Existing knowledge of Civil Legal Aid is desirable but not essential.
