Description

Our client, a successful law firm, is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in managing complex civil cases, demonstrating exceptional legal expertise and advocacy skills.

This role offers an opportunity to handle cases independently while working collaboratively with a team of skilled individuals.

Schedule:

In-Office

Salary: $125,000 - $155,000 (depending on experience)

Responsibilities:

+ Manage a full caseload of civil litigation matters, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, hearings, arbitrations, and trials

+ Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, memoranda, and other legal documents

+ Take and defend depositions; prepare witnesses and experts

+ Appear in Rhode Island state and federal courts

+ Develop case strategy and provide risk assessments and legal advice to clients

+ Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court

+ Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations

+ Mentor junior attorneys and support firm-wide litigation initiatives, as appropriate

Requirements

Requirements:

+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation

+ Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

+ Admission to the Rhode Island Bar

+ Trial and courtroom experience strongly preferred

+ Strong writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills

+ Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently

+ Professional demeanor and strong client-service orientation
