Responsibilities- Shuttle guests to and from hotels, hospitals, casinos and local areas in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner using safe driving practices.
- Assist guests with luggage; deliver and pick up guest luggage during arrival and departure.
- Maintain vehicle activity and maintenance logs, and inspect the vehicle before each shift for operational safety and cleanliness.
- Communicate courteously by telephone, two‑way radio and in person with guests, location staff and co‑workers.
- Politely greet guests within 30seconds of arrival, using guests’ last names and appropriate salutations.
- Operate a vehicle that seats fifteen people or less and monitor vehicle condition, promptly reporting malfunctions.
- Protect guest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements and maintain security of client financial and identifying information.
- Assist patrons with entering and exiting the vehicle; conduct wheelchair checks and cleaning, and use specialized equipment when needed.
- Shuttles guests to approved places, learning and remembering pick‑up and destination points.
- Knowledge of property outlets, meeting rooms, amenities and local attractions; parking rates.
- Communicates in a courteous, professional manner with all guests, staff, and co‑workers.
- Inspects vehicle exterior and interior before each shift and records any issues.
- Ensures guest confidentiality and complies with HIPAA and related privacy laws.
- Operates wheelchair lifts and assists with safe wheelchair use.
- Adheres to all operational instructions and departmental guidelines.
- Education
:
High school diploma or GED. - Licensure & Certifications
:
Valid driver’s license with DOT endorsements; must pass annual or semiannual MVR checks; complete Wheelchair Safety Training; current Medical Examiner’s Certificate; bi‑annual physical exam as required. - Work Experience
:
One to three months of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Skills & Knowledge
:
Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle; read and write standard English; comprehend instructions and memos; write simple correspondence; perform basic math with money and percentages; understand 24‑hour and military time; understand rates applicable to time. - Must be at least 21 years of age and pass a criminal background check, MVR, drug screen and other client requirements.
Hourly base pay range: $21 per hour.
