Job Description

The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing repairs and general maintenance duties at all Thundermist Health Center locations in Rhode Island. Additionally, the Facilities Technician will perform routine property inspections paying special attention to any potential life safety issues, overall cleanliness of the facility and any other items requiring additional attention. This position may be asked to assist the facilities team with coordination of outside contractors or vendors for various services.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
- Moderate experience in HVAC, plumbing and/or electrical
- A minimum of five years experience performing general maintenance duties.
- General maintenance knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform all significant job functions listed below.
Preferred Qualifications:
- License in a building trade desired but not required
- Candidates who do not meet all of the preferred qualifications are encouraged to apply.
- Basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry work
- Equipment/furniture installation, repairs, and moving
- Replace light bulbs
- Paint/repair walls
- Other maintenance duties as assigned
- This role is onsite
- The Maintenance Technician is regularly required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, climb, operate hand and electrical tools, use a hand truck, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Full-time 40 hours a week along with 24 hours emergency on call rotation
- Written and oral communication skills required. Must be able to utilize/view a PC and operate a computerized work order system.
