Position: Full-Time

Essilor Luxottica is a global leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of ophthalmic lenses, frames, and sunglasses.

We are seeking a Production Associate to support coating, finishing, and surfacing operations at our lab. This role will be cross‑trained across multiple process areas.

Technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a motivation to learn and grow professionally are essential.

For each area, you may work as:

• Coating
  • Clipper: clipping and securing lenses into baskets to begin the coating process.
  • Machine Operator: preparing and operating the coating machine, including loading machine chemicals and loading/unloading sectors with lenses.
  • Inspector: inspecting lenses to ensure they are optically and cosmetically accurate.
• Finishing
  • Beveler: using the bevel wheel to remove sharp edges of lenses.
  • Mounter: inserting edged lenses into frames and ensuring proper fit.
  • Edger Operator: using edging machines to cut lenses to the correct size and shape.
  • Finish Layout preparer: preparing uncut lenses for edging by outlining center marks and affixing the chuck/block.
  • Tinter: accurately tinting all lenses.
  • Inspector: checking lenses and frames to meet quality standards.
• Surfacing
  • Blocker: operating the blocking machine and taping equipment to secure a block to lenses.
  • Surface Finer/Polisher: operating equipment to fine and polish all lenses.
  • Lens Washer: hand washing and drying lenses with a de‑blocking cup and inspecting for cosmetics.

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• High mechanical aptitude.
• At least one year of related manufacturing work experience; experience in lab settings is preferred but not required.
• Ability to meet measurable standards in a dynamic production environment; depth perception and manual dexterity.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities.
• Attention to detail.

Physical requirements:

• Must stand and walk for the duration of a shift.
• Must work with and around chemicals.
• Environment may be wet, dirty, and/or have a strong smell.

Willingness to work overtime as needed.
