Machine Operator-Press Brake 2nd Shift

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in metal fabrication, is seeking a Machine Operator-Press Brake 2nd Shift to join their team. As a Machine Operator-Press Brake 2nd Shift, you will be part of the Press Brake department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Shift: Second Shift

What's the Job?

  • Set up and operate metal fabrication machines such as press brakes, saws, shears, and punch/drill presses according to specified quality and quantity standards.
  • Review shop operations packets and engineering drawings to ensure incoming materials are correct.
  • Select and set up tools, equipment, and machines to optimize workflow and maintain high-quality output.
  • Inspect and check production to ensure it meets required specifications and standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and operational checks on departmental tools and equipment, including tool sharpening and machine oiling.

What's Needed?

  • Ability to read and interpret written instructions and complete related paperwork accurately.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment, with press brake operation experience required.
  • Familiarity with metric blueprint dimensioning is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs and perform physical motions such as standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
