Kent Regency, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Warwick, RI, seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care. CNAs assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility while promoting dignity and comfort. You will monitor and document vital signs, support rehab and memory care needs, follow infection control standards, and promptly report changes to nursing staff. Working in a collaborative, team-oriented setting, you'll help seniors achieve their highest level of function and quality of life while gaining experience in skilled nursing and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility for older adult residents.
  • Measure and record vital signs, intake/output, and report changes in condition to nursing staff promptly.
  • Support residents with safe transfers, positioning, and use of assistive devices to prevent falls and injury.
  • Assist with meals, hydration, and nutritional monitoring, honoring individual preferences and care plans.
  • Deliver compassionate memory care, using redirection and de-escalation techniques with dementia residents.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic or paper records per facility protocols.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and dignified environment, following infection control and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with RNs, LPNs, therapists, and other team members to support personalized care and rehab goals.
  • Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interaction to support quality of life.
  • Communicate respectfully with residents and families, reflecting the center's resident-centered values.
