Medical-Surgical Nurse
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Medical-Surgical Nurse for a temporary assignment in Warwick, Rhode Island. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Location: Warwick, Rhode Island
Schedule: 7:00AM - 7:00PM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $68 - $74/hr
Responsibilities for a Medical-Surgical Nurse:
• Provide registered nursing care as part of the Med Surg Float Pool
• Float between units as needed within the float pool assignment
• Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for clinical documentation
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Complete required skills checklist prior to submission
• Complete CNE Specialty Competency Exam, Basic EKG Exam, Pharmacology Exam, and Core Competencies upon onboarding
• Maintain valid state nursing licensure verified through Nursys
• Hold or obtain a BSN degree
• Comply with all vaccination requirements including COVID-19 and MMR
• Complete and maintain tuberculosis screening requirements (2 Step PPD or IGRA)
• Provide proof of Varicella, Tdap, and Hepatitis B immunization records
• Complete fit testing requirements
• Submit 2 professional references prior to placement
• Undergo criminal background check and employment verification
• Complete CNE First Look orientation packet and non-employee confidentiality agreement
• Comply with CNE COVID and Flu policy requirements
• Complete occupational health clearance process prior to start
• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
