Overview

The Quality Technician supports quality within manufacturing operations at A.T. Wall, handling QA department functions such as inspection and MRB, improving first‑pass yield, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001. The role performs audits, liaises with customers, suppliers, and auditors, and contributes to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspection duties per inspection job descriptions.
  • Conduct in‑house testing, including hydrostatic testing.
  • Calibrate gauges per schedule, coordinate third‑party calibrations, and maintain records.
  • Maintain the MRB process and process items in quarantine.
  • Submit and approve First Article Inspections according to customer and industry standards.
  • Document audits of manufacturing and support processes per ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Assist in supplier quality activities and support customer quality requests.
  • Participate in defect reduction and production improvement projects.
  • Support and assist in customer and third‑party audits.
  • Maintain record‑keeping and traceability practices.
  • Participate in creation and updating of procedures and forms as needed.
Qualifications & Certifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • ASQ CQT certification required (candidates working toward certification may be considered).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Proven understanding of GD&T and ability to read blueprints.
  • Calibration training and experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Good math and technical skills.
  • Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
  • Decent understanding of ISO 9001 framework.
