Position Overview
We are hiring a Quality Control Engineer for our Antaya division.
Responsibilities- Develop, apply, and maintain quality requirements and standards for development and manufacturing products.
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective action using 8D, 5 whys, and fishbone diagrams.
- Serve as the primary quality assurance resource to department supervisors for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting, and continuous improvement.
- Act as a customer liaison for customer complaints.
- Support concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing quality assurance and the customer.
- Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection.
- Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents, and reports.
- Perform containment and certification activities.
- Review customers’ purchase orders, contracts, and change requests to ensure quality and process criteria are met.
- Develop, execute, and analyze quality reporting measures; report to management on quality issues, trends, and losses.
- Assist in training equipment operators or other staff on validation protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Review supplier purchase orders and establish supplier quality requirements.
- Perform internal quality system, manufacturing process, and product audits.
- Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems and ensure effective corrective action is implemented.
- Compile, write, and deliver training material on quality standards and activities.
- Review statistical studies, technological advances, or regulatory standards and industry trends to stay abreast of issues in quality control.
- Participate in internal and external training programs to maintain knowledge of validation principles.
Overnight domestic travel based on customer need (20%). Some international travel may be required (less than 10%).
Physical DemandsWork involves sitting, bending, reaching, walking, stretching, talking, hearing, handling or feeling. Ability to lift light objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 30 pounds. Requires close vision and exposure to hazardous materials and chemicals.
Work EnvironmentManufacturing environment with adequate lighting and ventilation, normal temperature and noise levels. May work near moving mechanical machinery and/or vehicles; noise level ranges from moderate to loud.
Salary Range$90,000 - $120,000, contingent upon experience, education, and skills.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Familiarity with process control quality tools and statistical control methods.
- Experience in record‑keeping, reporting, and compliance (ISO 9001, IATF
16949, APQP). - Ability to read and write technical reports and programs.
- Understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Proficiency with computers and office applications (MSWord, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) highly preferred.
