General Manager
Reports To: District Manager
OverviewThe General Manager is the architect of the store culture, customer experience, and business performance. This leader owns the total store experience—balancing luxury service, operational excellence, talent development, and strategic business leadership. The General Manager creates an environment where customers feel celebrated, team members feel inspired, and performance expectations are consistently elevated.
Responsibilities- Drive Business & Operational Excellence
Own total store performance including sales, profitability, operations, and customer experience
Analyze trends, identify opportunities, and activate strategies that improve performance
Protect profitability through payroll, inventory, compliance, and operational discipline
Ensure consistent execution of visual standards, launches, and promotional priorities - Create a culture centered around luxury service, relationship-building, and customer confidence
Ensure every touchpoint reflects Jared’s elevated brand standards
Set expectations for appointment culture, clienteling, follow-up, and personalized selling experiences - Lead the Total Store Experience
Inspire high-performance behaviors through floor presence and visible leadership - Coach & Develop Talent
Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing talent
Create a coaching culture rooted in accountability, recognition, and growth
Develop future leaders through intentional feedback and development planning
Foster an inclusive, People First environment where diverse perspectives are valued - Activate the Brand Promise
Help customers celebrate life’s most meaningful moments through exceptional experiences
Build emotional connections through storytelling, personalization, and trust
- 3+ years retail sales experience, or 2+ years sales experience with 1+ year of management experience
- Specialty retail and/or jewelry experience preferred
- Proven ability to lead a team to results through coaching, accountability, and execution
- Strong communication, leadership, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize, resolve conflict, and drive results in a dynamic environment
- Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality where required
Flexible to business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Typical schedules target five days/40 hours, with additional time during peak seasons.
