Jerrys Dairy​/Frozen Manager

Position Overview

As a Frozen Foods Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the frozen food department within the retail setting of a grocery store. You will be responsible for ensuring quality and freshness of frozen food products while providing excellent customer service. You will be driving labor efficiency, sales and gross profit margins in alignment with the store.

• Builds and maintains customer satisfaction with the product and services offered by the company.
• Maintain a happy, full, fresh and clean sales floor department
• Train and supervise frozen food department staff ensuring adherence to established procedures and customer service standards
• S chedule and coordinate shifts to have proper coverage
• Provide ongoing feedback, performance evaluations and training opportunities for dairy department employees
• M onitor frozen food inventory levels, ordering products such as but not limited to various products to maintain a diverse and stocked selection
• Implement inventory control measures to minimize and ensure freshness
• Ensure that all frozen food products meet quality and safety standards
• Work with suppliers to select and maintain high quality frozen food products
• Ensure frozen food products are presented attractively and in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Implement merchandising strategies to promote sales, including coordinating sales displays and promotions
• Handle customer inquiries, concerns and special requests in a prompt and professional manner
• Setting and achieving sales targets
• Monitoring sales performance and implement strategies to maximize profitability
• Manage the organization of the freezer area
• Conducting regular safety training for frozen food department staff
• Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of the dairy work areas
• M onitor expenses, control waste and optimizing cost effectiveness
• C ommunicate with store management regarding inventory, sales and any issues within the department
• Adhere to all company safety standards
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
• working in various environmental temperatures

• Flexible schedule to work weekends and holidays weekdays

• Preferred:
  One (1) year frozen food management or frozen food sales experience
• Serve Safe certification or comparable

• Physical abilities :
  May be required to lift up to 80-85lbs.; standing, bending, lifting and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights including floor level to over your head;
  Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily; working in various temperature controlled environments; walking on a variety of flooring such as concrete, tile, carpet etc
