This full-time, on-site Sales Associate role is based in Warwick, RI. The Sales Associate greets customers, actively listens to their needs, and guides them through jewelry selections to find pieces that match their style, budget, and occasion. Daily responsibilities include presenting merchandise, explaining product features and care, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate records. The role also involves meeting or exceeding sales goals, participating in store events and promotions, and contributing to a clean, secure, and visually appealing sales floor.
Sales Associates collaborate closely with store leadership and teammates, engage in ongoing product and sales training, and provide an inclusive, respectful experience for every customer.
- Strong customer service and client relationship skills, with the ability to build trust, listen actively, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Sales aptitude, including comfort with consultative selling, achieving individual and team goals, and handling point-of-sale systems and cash/credit transactions accurately.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple customers, maintain product displays, and follow store procedures and policies.
- Interest in fine jewelry, fashion, and luxury retail, with a willingness to learn about gemstones, metals, product care, and industry trends.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required in a retail environment.
- Comfort standing for extended periods and performing light physical tasks such as stocking, cleaning cases, and moving merchandise.
- Previous retail or customer-facing experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for candidates with strong motivation and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, communications, or related fields is a plus.
