Overview
As the full-time Merchandising Team Leader, you are the Store Team Leader's "go-to" in developing and implementing the Merchandising strategy for the store. Your passion lies in training and coaching your team into great merchants delivering AEO brand Visual standards every day. Through your leadership, your team nails floorset execution and rocks merchandising and marketing brand standards. You ensure the store is always "guest ready" through effective replenishment.

- You drive sales as a Leader on Duty (LOD): maximize fitting room and salesfloor productivity, build guest loyalty through a best-in-class guest experience, analyze reporting and daily trends to make strategic business decisions, and support the Store Team Leader with short- and long-term business plans to drive KPIs.
- You are a merchandising innovator: ensure the store consistently reflects AEO Brand Standards, lead day-to-day merchandising, manage sell-through and replenishment, and identify opportunities with actionable game plans.
- You are a people leader: motivate and inspire the team through AEO's core values, model leadership, and maintain accountability for customer service standards on the Sales floor and in the Fitting Room.
- You identify and recruit strong talent, train and develop your team to deliver outstanding service, and staff the store to meet business needs.
- You foster teamwork: provide ongoing performance feedback through real-time coaching, conduct team touchpoints, development plans, and performance reviews, and drive associate engagement.
- You are an operational innovator: execute daily operational procedures, maintain visual standards across all store zones, and ensure Fitting Rooms are guest-ready and aligned with AEO Brand Standards.
- You uphold store safety, Asset Protection standards, and AEO policies and procedures, acting with integrity at all times.
- You love AE and Aerie products.
- Experience leading teams in a retail management role.
- You can multi-task with strong attention to detail; you excel at priority-setting and time management.
- You know how to lead and develop teams and understand employment law.
- Business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Flexible availability to work when guests shop.
- Starting pay is determined by relevant experience and location.
