Position Summary: We are seeking a friendly and energetic Sales Consultant to join our team in this exciting industry. As a Sales Consultant, you will play a crucial role in increasing our market share and promoting our brands to new and existing customers. With your knowledge of the industry and excellent communication skills, you will help us maintain and grow our customer base, ensuring satisfaction with our products.
Uphold and exhibit a comprehensive understanding of how products are made, what differentiates distinct brands from their competition, and how to position brands within various retail channels. Provide exemplary customer service through frequent face-to-face visits, telephonic, and electronic contact. Meet sales and goal expectations consistently.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers (bars, restaurants, liquor stores) providing exemplary service
- Develop, present and promote sales strategies and activities (tastings / demonstrations) that showcase the features and quality of our products to meet sales objectives
- Answer customers’ questions about products, pricing, availability and uses
- Review customers’ credit status, collect monies owed and partner with the Credit department to ensure accounts remain in good standing
- Achieve sales, service and product distribution objectives in assigned territory
- Provide after sales support including staff trainings, organizing product dinners and conducting evening and weekend tastings
- Conduct promotional and/or educational seminars
- Craft and deliver presentations on products, points of differentiation, price, and positioning
- Understand the sales trends and business practices of all customers in your territory
- Maintain up-to-date sell sheets, contact lists, account sheets, and sales trackers
- Provide accurate and detailed daily/weekly/monthly preplans and sales reports
- Participate in sales meetings, trainings and trade events to maintain product and supplier knowledge
- Utilize Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) to create sell sheets and sales presentations
- Maintains current knowledge of technology available to support selling and supplier strategies
- Previous experience in alcohol sales, distribution, hospitality or supplier community preferred
- Entrepreneurial spirit with the motivation to maintain a competitive market advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
