Sales Representative – R&D Tax Credits
ADP is hiring a Sales Representative for R&D Tax Credits.
Responsibilities- Sell R&D Tax Credits within a designated geographic territory to Mid‑Market employers (50 to 999 employees). Manage the complete sales cycle from gaining access to contract signature, selling to both pure prospects and ADP’s existing Human Capital Management clients.
- Leverage tools, technology, and sales skills to build a pipeline and advance opportunities through the sales process.
- Drive the bulk of business through a self‑generated sales pipeline, partnering with COIs such as accountants and directly contacting executive/financial contacts.
- Collaborate with ADP sellers and subject‑matter experts to validate prospects’ eligibility for tax credits.
- Implement a sales strategy targeted to decision‑makers and business owners to build a network and capture new business.
- Strategically cultivate additional business within existing accounts while maintaining ethical standards.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and ADP ambassador to clients, internal partners, and the overall network.
- Proven track record of closing sales, winning clients, and managing a territory.
- Upbeat, persistent style; able to cold‑call, manage time well, and present ideas clearly.
- Comfortable with taking risks, embracing opportunities, and challenging the status quo.
- Natural leader, resourceful, thriving under pressure, and recovering quickly.
- Builds relationships, lives integrity, and delivers on promises.
- 5+ years of quota‑carrying, outside B2B sales experience in a hunter‑type role, responsible for gaining access and self‑generating a sales pipeline; tax‑credit experience is a plus.
- College degree not required; strong networking and social‑media sales skills.
- Military experience – teamwork, resilience, negotiation, and trust‑building.
Base salary offers may vary based on location, skills, and experience. Compensation ranges from USD $56,100.00 to USD $ per year, with additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity, or commissions. Actual compensation will not be less than the applicable minimum wage or minimum exempt salary requirement under federal, state and local laws.
