Business Development, Sales Representative
What you’ll do
- Sell human resources technology within a designated geographic territory to cultivate new business opportunities and drive strategic discussions around Human Capital Management (HCM) initiatives for companies with 50–999 employees.
- Manage complete sales cycles, sell ADP's suite of solutions (40+ products and services) to executives, and accurately forecast sales pipeline.
- Document and manage multiple sales cycles, staying through implementation until new business is up and running.
- Implement a sales strategy targeted to decision‑makers and business owners to build a network and capture new business.
- Strategically cultivate additional business within existing accounts and deepen relationships across the ADP family.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, partner, and ADP ambassador to clients, internal partners, and overall network while demonstrating grace under pressure and the highest ethical standards.
Required Qualifications
- Proven winner with an impressive track record of closing sales, winning clients, and managing territories.
- Positive self‑starter with an upbeat, persistent style and the ability to cold‑call, manage time well, and present ideas clearly in person, on paper, and over the phone.

A college degree is great but not required. What's more important is having the skills to do the job. If you don't have a college degree, other acceptable experience could include:
- Two or more years of quota‑carrying, outside business‑to‑business sales experience.
- Three or more years of relevant experience in HCM, technology, business equipment, uniform, or software sales.
- Military experience, including teamwork, resilience, negotiation, trust‑building, and a "never lose" mentality.

- 3–10 years of relevant experience in HCM, technology, business equipment, uniform or software sales.

In Windsor, Connecticut, compensation range: $42,400–$92,000 per year. Base salary may vary by location, skills, relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation such as bonuses, equity, or commissions.

Compensation for this role is $43,300.00–$93,900.00 per year, with potential for additional earnings through commission.
