Under the direction of the Director of Engineering, the Maintenance Technician responds to all general maintenance service calls and performs necessary tasks demonstrating knowledge related to hotel or property maintenance.

• Perform basic repair and maintenance of facilities, guest rooms, and public spaces.
• Maintain building by performing basic repairs, carpentry, shoveling, clean‑up work, snow and ice removal, plumbing, electrical wiring, painting, and other related maintenance activities as needed.
• Prioritize work orders through urgent requests and scheduled hotel downtime to minimize guest inconvenience.
• Inspect and maintain machinery and equipment for conformance with operations and safety standards.
• Move furniture, equipment, and guest luggage as required.
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies; order materials as needed; and complete inventory replacement per established procedure.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Handle chemicals according to hotel/regulatory safety requirements.
• Ensure security of assigned keys.
• Provide timely and professional manpower assistance and backup to the Hotel as needed.
• Assist with additional tasks assigned by management.

• Proficiency with pick‑up, snow blower, small power tools, shovels, rakes, and other maintenance tools.
• Ability to obtain and maintain any required licenses, certificates, or permits.
• Compliance with safety and health requirements.
• Physical stamina and condition to withstand heavy labor in an outdoor environment.
• Ability to work without supervision, maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.

• Frequent standing, walking, use of hands, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds.
• Repetitive motion and manual dexterity required.
• Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold or heat, and risk of electrical shock.
• Noise level usually moderate.
