This full-time Social Worker position offers an engaging opportunity to support students within a school setting in Warwick, RI. The role involves direct counseling services, including one-on-one and group interventions, to foster social and emotional development among students. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM to 2:45 PM, with extended hours until 3:00 PM on Wednesdays.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group social work services to students to address behavioral, social, and emotional needs.
  • Facilitate social skills groups aimed at improving peer interactions and coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement intervention plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state regulations.
  • Support students' overall well-being through counseling and crisis intervention.
  • Potential for part-time summer work to continue services beyond the school year.
Qualifications:
  • Current state license as LMSW, LSW, or LCSW.
  • Valid school social work certification through the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE).
  • Experience working in school settings preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with students, families, and staff.
  • Ability to manage caseload and maintain confidential records.
This contract position begins at the Warwick location with the possibility of working at the Providence location in the following academic year, contingent on performance and fit. The role is an excellent fit for licensed social workers dedicated to supporting students' mental health and educational success within a structured school environment.
