Deputy Room Leader

Banana Moon Day Nurseries is seeking a passionate and dedicated Deputy Room Leader to join our team, offering competitive pay at £14.50 per hour. As the Deputy Room Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the Room Leader in providing high-quality care and education for children aged 2‑3 years old.

• Assist the Room Leader in planning and facilitating engaging, educational activities that foster development
• Support and supervise nursery staff, helping to enhance their practice and confidence
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment in line with health and safety standards
• Build strong connections with children and families, ensuring effective communication and support
• Step in for the Room Leader when needed, ensuring seamless continuity of care
• Participate in observations and assessments of children's progress and development

We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented individual who is dedicated to providing excellent care and education for young children.

• Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential
• Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting, preferably in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
• Demonstrated organisational and time‑management capabilities
