Warwickshire County Council is seeking an experienced Child Protection Social Worker to join its North Office based out of Nuneaton and Atherstone on an initial 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner to work within a supportive local authority while managing a realistic and well-structured caseload.

Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of child protection cases in line with statutory requirements
Undertake assessments, care planning, and court work as required
Work collaboratively with children, families, and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes
Prepare high-quality reports and maintain accurate, up-to-date case records
Participate in child protection conferences, core groups, and court proceedings

Essential Requirements
Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualified permanent experience in children’s social work
Proven experience working within Child Protection
Social Work England registration
Strong knowledge of UK child protection legislation, policies, and procedures
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
