Our client is an independent company that develops and manufactures a range of organic cosmetics, toiletries and personal care products using a range of locally sourced organic oils and other ingredients. Due to continued success, they are seeking a Junior Chemist to join their busy team.

The role will involve mixing batches of a variety of formulations using in-house organic ingredients, carrying out testing and other pre-formulation studies and selection of ingredients and raw materials. After receiving training, you may also be involved with the laboratory scale-up and process development of new products.

Duties:

Develop and test cosmetic formulations.

Conduct ingredient research and produce technical documentation.

Manage quality control and perform stability tests.

Collaborate with suppliers and work within a dynamic team.

Ensure a clean and safe lab environment.

Candidate:

Background in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science or other relevant science subject.

Some relevant industry experience in a laboratory would be an advantage, however, full training can be given.

Driving licence and own transport due to rural location.

Strong administration skills with good attention to detail.

Must be well organised with excellent communication skills
