Industrial Electrician Journeyman III

Industrial Electrician Journeyman III – Central Valley Eggs, LLC – Wasco, US.

Job Description

Perform skilled industrial electrical work involving the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of electrical systems, controls, wiring, and production equipment. Support construction and maintenance projects while ensuring compliance with company safety and GMP standards.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum 5–7 years of industrial electrical experience.
  • Completion of electrical coursework, apprenticeship, or equivalent technical training.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and repair skills for industrial electrical systems.
  • Ability to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, motors, control panels, transformers, frequency drives, lighting systems, and protection devices.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and verbal instructions.
  • Knowledge of conduit layout, wire sizing, load calculations, and motor control systems.
  • Ability to safely operate and use electrical testing equipment and hand/power tools.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70E electrical safety standards, Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out procedures, and company safety policies.
  • Understanding and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Ability to estimate time and materials needed for projects and repairs.
  • Basic computer proficiency for documenting maintenance findings and repairs.
  • Good attendance and safety record.
  • Availability for overtime and emergency call‑outs.
  • English reading and understanding skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean DMV record.
  • Pass pre‑employment drug/alcohol screening, physical, and functional capacity evaluation.
Essential Job Functions
  • Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical failures and perform corrective repairs.
  • Replace defective wiring, electrical components, motors, controls, and lighting systems.
  • Install and troubleshoot motor control centers, load centers, transformers, VFDs, and protection devices.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and document findings.
  • Read and work from blueprints, electrical schematics, diagrams, and verbal instructions.
  • Calculate horsepower, amperage, conduit runs, wire sizing, and electrical loads.
  • Support production operations and respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
  • Assist with construction and maintenance projects throughout the facility.
  • Safely operate aerial lifts and other maintenance equipment.
  • Maintain work areas, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Train and assist lower‑level electricians and maintenance personnel when needed.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, management, and production staff.
  • Follow all company safety rules, GMP requirements, and electrical safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Physical Requirements
  • Operate hand and power tools.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Work on equipment elevated above ground level or low to the ground.
  • Move throughout food processing facilities, including wet areas, narrow passages, and elevated platforms.
  • Work in temperatures ranging from
    -20°F to 110°F.
  • Work in high-noise environments.
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
