Office Support (7:15 - 7:45) - (3:00 - 3:45)
Answer and direct phone calls, communicating effectively and addressing caller questions and concerns. Welcome visitors to the school and respond to inquiries from a wide variety of internal and external parties (students, parents, community, public agencies, staff, etc.) for the purpose of providing information, facilitating communication, and/or providing direction. Provide backup clerical support and office coverage during staff absences, lunches, and approved leave.
Media Center (7:45 - 3:00)
Manage the daily checkout, collection, and tracking of Chromebooks loaned to students. Maintain textbook inventory and records utilizing the Destiny Library Management System. Support library operations, including checking materials in and out and shelving returned materials. Order paper, toner, and other office supplies as needed and maintain organized, stocked teacher workrooms and copy areas. Supervise In-School Suspension (ISS) students as assigned and maintain appropriate documentation and communication regarding student attendance and behavior.
Complete clerical tasks requiring independent judgment and knowledge of district policies, procedures, and school regulations. Serve as a backup to office assistants by providing coverage and support during lunches, planned leave, and other staff absences to ensure continuous office operations. Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and positive working relationships with students, staff, families, and community members. Meet timelines, manage multiple priorities, adapt to frequent interruptions, and maintain attention to detail.
Participate in district-provided professional development and training opportunities. Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Principal or Assistant Principal.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Training and Experience
AS, AA, or the equivalent of two (2) years of postsecondary education (60 semester credits), or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. No licensing required. Knowledge in the use, operation, and care of computers and other office equipment, as well as software programs (i.e., Infinite Campus, SMARTFinance, Word, Excel, Google Suite, website management).
Familiar with computer use and comfortable with learning new programs. Ability to perform general clerical duties. Possess communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with co-workers, supervisors, the general public, etc., sufficient to exchange or convey information and receive work direction. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
