Quality Engineer
We are seeking a Quality Engineer who will identify root causes through corrective and preventive actions, implement and validate these plans, and oversee the quality management system. The role involves improving production methods, product quality, and equipment performance. You will be responsible for data collection, entry, and reporting for product conformance and process capability, and for developing and implementing methods and standards for products, materials, equipment, returns, testing, calibration, and processes.
Support for AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management standards, utilizing statistical process control, and supporting mechanical and electrical testing are also key aspects of this role. Our products support multiple industries such as Aerospace/Defense and Medical device.
Responsibilities:
- Identify root causes through corrective and preventive actions
- Implement and validate corrective and preventive action plans
- Oversee the quality management system
- Improve production methods, product quality, and equipment performance
- Collect, enter, and report data for product conformance and process capability
- Develop and implement methods and standards for products, materials, equipment, returns, testing, calibration, and processes
- Support AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management standards
- Utilize statistical process control to support process capability
- Support mechanical and electrical testing
- Execute gap analysis
Essential
Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline preferred
- 2+ years of experience within a quality function
- Working knowledge and experience with problem-solving methodologies
- Experience with quality management systems
- Skills in quality function management
- Continuous improvement and lean/six sigma methodologies
Additional Skills &
Qualifications:
- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action plans
Work Environment:
You will report to the Quality Manager and work within a group of engineers and technicians. Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
