Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Must be familiar with plant safety rules and guidelines.
2. Work with maintenance Manager/Supervisors and Maintenance lead to implement changes that have been identified.
3. Work effectively with other departments.
4. Prepare production lines for production.
5. Perform sanitations as needed.
6. Equipment:
- Have operational knowledge of all equipment in the area.
- Have equipment ready to run at start of shift.
- Assist other maintenance in repair of line equipment when necessary.
8. Tools:
- Must be able to use mechanical tools and shop equipment.
- Must possess a mechanical aptitude in order to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment.
9. Perform other duties and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by Maintenance Manager/Supervisors and Maintenance Lead.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
1. You will be doing frequent bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), turning, twisting, and squatting.
2. Must possess a mechanical aptitude. May be required to take a mechanical test.
3. Must have computer skills and be able to acquire the appropriate skills in parsiable.
4. You will be required to follow the Birds Eye Foods attendance policy for the Waseca Plant.
EXPERIENCE:
FTO, Computer, and Mechanical experience a plus
Pay is commensurate with experience with a step progression.
LOCATION:
Waseca, MN Plant
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Wet, noisy, variable temperature depending on time of year.
