Overview
$13.00 to $23.00 per hour. This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in “fast-tracking” into a Store Management position. This role requires a minimum of 1 year retail management experience.

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of Store Management experience. The Store Manager Trainee is accountable for day-to-day store operations and promoting a positive environment. This position partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations. The role sets the tone for a customer-centric environment.
The Store Manager Trainee analyzes store financial statements to ensure goals are met and may participate in asset protection and new customer acquisitions. The position involves handling a wide variety of merchandise and, in FFL locations, firearms.
Hourly pay plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities- Foster a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
- Assist in training staff to meet company standards.
- Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, manage cash and assets, and follow procedures to protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control and safety procedures.
- Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting.
- Analyze financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
- Maintain operating standards to meet or exceed company standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and self-development training.
- Communicate store mission and objectives to employees.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- May be asked to assist customers outside the building or with exterior storage areas.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old;
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. - Must be able to work in multiple locations as needed and on a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Store Manager Trainee will work 45+ hours per week; hours vary by business needs.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS and general office machines; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and analytical abilities.
- Cash handling experience required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and strong work ethic.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Store Manager Trainees have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit from personal performance. Details provided during the interview process.
